The Hibiki Harmony Bar is part of Suntory’s immersive branding experience for its premium Japanese whisky line, Hibiki, particularly Hibiki Japanese Harmony. It’s a beautifully crafted space that reflects the brand’s core philosophy: blending tradition, precision, and sensory beauty — just like the whisky itself.
What Makes the Hibiki Harmony Bar Special:
Sensory storytelling: The bar is designed to activate all five senses — from the tactile craftsmanship of the glasses to the ambient visuals and soundscapes, often inspired by nature and the changing seasons (a major theme in Hibiki’s brand identity).
Cutting-edge meets heritage: It fuses traditional Japanese craftsmanship (like kiriko glass, metalwork, and ink wash-style visuals) with modern technology — motion sensors, responsive visuals, interactive sound — creating an immersive, almost meditative drinking experience.
Cultural diplomacy: It’s not just about whisky — it’s a way of introducing Japanese culture to global audiences in an emotionally resonant way.
Creative Originality
To express the unique traditions and techniques behind Japanese blended whisky, we combined cut-glass (kiriko) and metal engraving with multi-sensory technology in the glass design. Visually and sonically, we integrated ink wash painting–inspired visuals and generative programming, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the poetic world of Japanese whisky with all five senses.
